Groove Affair - feat. WAVERÛNNER, Oberian, 92Groovz

We are back! After a little pause and a refresher. And we are well glad to be back to serving some techno in Limassol. We've loved the reception so far and as we continue to build out our party and project - we wanted to ensure we certified ourselves as supporters not only of the techno scene but of Cyprus talent. Given the saturation of the scene of late - the talent on the island shouldn't be ignored- with many building on their own and all over the island! And with that said - we are delighted to announce a local line up; all of which are players on the scene helping to continue building and establishing the heart of the culture on the island. That too from three distinct areas of the island. We bring you the below: WAVERÛNNER - final boss of RCKT collective; need I say more? The guy has been turning the heat up on the eastern side of the island, consistent production work, organising of some of the best parties of the summer. Words not needed - a player on the techno scene pushing the music since before it became "in fashion" so to speak. Seeing RCKT collective push the scene on the island really gave us a boost here at Groove Affair - knowing we're not alone in this venture; to build culture for the dancefloor and techno on the island. A renewed approach to re-invigorating Castle club, bringing a proper system and an underground DIY approach to the whole project - personally we cannot wait to see what else he's got planned in the years to come! Expect a set featuring a blend of driving techno with cinematic soundscapes, curated with a club focussed approach and true to his own style - and probably full of some of his unreleased gems too. Looking forward to seeing your productions in time to come G! Oberian.VVU - from Larnaca, a fresh face to the techno circuit and a representative of the ever growing - Velvet Void Underground collective. We've appreciated his sound since hearing about him and asked him to come close the night! And we're delighted he's agreed to come down and shred! He continues to explore the hypnotic, groovier and darker side of the spectrum - evolving atmospheres, tension and an ethereal vision form the basis of his sets. His work with Velvet Void Underground continues to add flavour to our local scene, bringing in renowned acts and fortifying another pillar of the scene here in Cyprus. Its nice for us to see not only the peak hours techno get attention out here; but we really appreciate Oberian for delving into the more hypnotic end - keeping it fresh out here. We could delve deeper into the two gent's above and who they've booked and what they've built with their respective teams on the circuit so far - but in view of a celebration of Cyprus based techno; we'll let their projects speak for themselves! With the two collectives planning a plethora of events over the next year. 92Groovz will be opening the night, setting a tone for the guys to takeover and shred till close. We hope you'll come and join us for a night of grooves and a bonding of different stakeholders in the scene - a true celebration of Cyprus techno with three different artists from different points of the island coming together to display their passion and vision for the music's culture on the island.
