The Hellenic Mountaineering Association of Nicosia (EOS Lefkosia) invites hikers to a relaxed and scenic walk along the Artemis Trail, one of Troodos’ signature routes at 1,850m altitude. This 7km circular trail offers cool forest shade, Black Pine clusters, rare flora and geological features of great ecological interest. Meeting time is 09:00 and departure is at 09:15 from a point located 500m before the junction of the road to Chionistra with the Troodos–Prodromos road. The hike lasts 2.5–3 hours and is rated Difficulty Level 1 (easy). Snow conditions may significantly increase the difficulty.
🎟️ Participation: €2 for non-members (students and university students free). Hikers will see a 500-year-old Black Pine tree and the remains of the Venetian “Teisia tis Palias Horas,” linked to fortifications from 1571. Safety rules apply, and participants must carry proper hiking gear (mountain shoes, water, daypack, warm layers, waterproof jacket).
