NEW YEAR’S HIKE – ΦΡΑΓΜΑ ΞΥΛΙΑΤΟΥ – ΚΟΨΙΜΟ ΒΑΣΙΛΟΠΙΤΤΑΣ

Join a refreshing New Year’s Hike at Xyliatos Dam on Sunday, January 11. Gathering begins at 09:05 with departure from the trailhead at 09:15. The 8 km circular route leads around the dam and through the surrounding pine forest, offering peaceful lake views and beautiful natural scenery. 🎟️ Participation €2 (free for members, students & university students). Estimated at 3 hours with difficulty level 1, this hike is suitable for beginners. At the end of the walk, participants will enjoy a group picnic and the traditional Vasilopita cutting, offered by EOS Lefkosias along with wine. Proper gear is required: hiking shoes, at least 1L of water, small daypack, hat, extra clothing and a light rain jacket if needed. All hikers must follow the safety rules and instructions of the coordinators.
