About the Event

Experience AUDIOBLAST Cyprus 2026 in Nicosia, February 15–21, with sound art, radio transmissions, soundwalks, workshops, and live performances. AUDIOBLAST Cyprus 2026 is a week-long festival dedicated to sound, radio, and listening practices, unfolding in the urban and sonic fabric of Nicosia. As an extension of the international Audioblast festival, the Cypriot edition is hosted at the CYENS Centre of Excellence and explores new forms of acoustic experience through collective and experimental processes. For the first time, the festival incorporates felt as a material for listening, transmission, and filtering, connecting sound with tactile, architectural, and embodied practices. Throughout the week, artists, researchers, and participants collaborate in a collective workshop that includes felt-making, sound experimentation, continuous AM and online broadcasting, and public soundwalks in various areas of Nicosia. The thematic framework "Interference Zone / Hyper-listening" approaches the city as a field of interferences, where stories, borders, frequencies, and materials overlap. The festival's activities focus on augmented listening practices, radio interventions, felt as an acoustic material, and the collective perception of sound in hybrid environments. The festival is organized by APO33, in collaboration with the Cyprus University of Technology and Nantes Architecture School. šŸ—“ļø Schedule February 15–21, 2026 | Nicosia (CYENS Centre of Excellence) Friday, February 20, 2026 | 18:00–20:00 (CYENS Centre) – Performances & concerts For more information and registration details, please contact the organiser directly.
