Artist: Lyudmila Petrushevskaya feat. Natalya Sindeeva & Evgenia Borzykh
Title: The Tale of the Clock
A legendary evening of fairy tales and cabaret with a world-renowned classic "The Tale of the Clock" is a landmark event honoring the work of Lyudmila Petrushevskaya, widely regarded as the most influential woman in contemporary Russian literature. This two-part performance offers a rare glimpse into the resilience and humour of a living classic as she approaches her 88th year. The first act features the play "The Tale of the Clock" – directed by internationally acclaimed artist Fyodor Pavlov-Andreevich, this play explores the deep duality of women in a touching story where daughters test mothers and love triumphs over death. The production marks a historic one-time only theatrical debut for Natalia Sindeeva, founder of independent TV channel Dozhd. She is joined on stage by co-star Evgenia Borzykh, a leading actress and frontwoman of the band SBPCH. The second act transforms the evening into a spirited Petrushevskaya Cabaret. The atmosphere shifts to a "hooligan-style" musical celebration, where the author performs world-famous hits featuring her own brilliant, newly reimagined lyrics. This intimate, chamber experience serves as a moving tribute to the human spirit, combining high drama with the rebellious joy of a cabaret legend.
