Machairas Series Vol.1: Tour De Machairas Hike 2026

Experience a challenging 21 km guided hike in Machairas, Cyprus 8 February 2026 at 08:00. Circular route with major landmarks. Registration required. Embark on the first hike of the Machairas Series with a demanding, specially designed long-distance trail by Vounisious. The route includes Chelidonia Settlement, Prophet Elias’ Throne, Peter’s Fountain, Matra tou Klosmatou, Prophet Elias Monastery and several scenic viewpoints. The adventure begins at 08:00, guided by a certified hiking leader. This circular route is approximately 21 km, rated difficult, with 90% country road, 5% adventure hike and 5% path, lasting around 7 hours.
