Kakopetria Winter Run 2026: Trail Running in the Troodos

Join us for a unique winter trail running event in the heart of Kakopetria, inviting runners of all ages to experience an authentic nature adventure. The Kakopetria Winter Run 2026 combines exercise, challenge, and stunning landscapes in the Troodos mountains. 🎟️ Tickets start from €25. The race takes place mainly on pristine forest trails, starting alongside the Karkotis River and running through a beautiful valley landscape. The route passes near the former chromium mine facilities and the UNESCO-listed Church of Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis (12th century), creating a truly unique running experience. Participants can choose between two challenging yet enjoyable distances: • 15 km with +600 m elevation gain • 7.7 km with +300 m elevation gain A 1 km kids race is also included, making the event family-friendly.
